It has a max deviation of 1 sample 1/16th notes. There has to be a workaround though.ĭid you send the MPC midi clock from Pro Tools or any other DAw or did you record straight in with using only the 4ks internal clockįACT: THe 4k is the tightest MPC of them all.

With the analog outs.mostly always a glitch. It's not a big deal really.just cut the first 8 and keep the 2nd. 1-9 would be a glitch.9-17 would be a smooth loop. 8 channels of ADAT and L/R for S/PDIF.that's 10 digital outs. I am still reading the manual before I get into it. Then I realized that midid clock only comes out of one midid output and not all at the same time.(at least that is what I ham reading in the manual) I haven't recorded anything yet. I bought it because of the superior timing I had heard about. I think tonight I am going to do my own timing test with the 4000. Let me know if I have the midi clock out thing wrong. Really soon I will put my own finding in the public sphere with a simple youtube video. So far I like what I am reading and learning. I only use Midi Clock and have never tried MTC.Ī few people that have commented in here and in other forums or on youtube have stated that the MPC4000's great timing is only when using it's internal timing on the sounds you play in it.not so much when it comes to running other pieces of gear. I never zeroed in on the exact unit that was slightly out of sync. Sometimes I did notice a drift when my fantom S, or the VS2000 was the master. I read the innerclock system website and they got me all paranoid about timing.when truthfully my music was sounding just fine to my ears when I was going through several devices and their respctive midi thru's. I also got a Edirol UM550 midi patcher so that I can have 5 midi clocked outputs. Then I realized that midi clock only comes out of one midi output and not all at the same time.(at least that is what I ham reading in the manual) I haven't recorded anything yet. Or is there some sort of SPDIF track splitter? With SPDIF only being two tracks this seems like a long process for multiple individual sounds. You track out individual sounds through your SPDIF? Please explain the procedure (how many tracks etc.).
